Read detailed accounts of the 12th Field Company RE during the Second World War, through the first hand accounts of DV Hutchinson, an Officer with the Company in Egypt from the summer of 1940 up & down the Western Deserts several times, then to Syria, back to relieve the Australian Garrison at Tobruk and once more to Syria before departing for India in March 1942.

Find out about the 12th Field Company RE as they disembarked in Bombay in early 1942 and transited across India for period of training before deploying to Operations in the Arakan in 1943, back to India for intensive training and deep into the Burmese jungle in 1944 with the 23rd Long-range Penetration Brigade in 34 & 55 Columns.
